Torque Automotive was founded in 2016 by Simon Withers, a lifelong automotive enthusiast with a deep-rooted passion for European engineering. Simon began his career with BMW Group, where he spent 12 years working his way up from an apprentice technician to a senior management role. At the height of his career, he led and managed one of the largest BMW workshops in the world, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This experience not only sharpened his technical expertise but also instilled in him a strong commitment to operational excellence, customer care, and leadership.


While his time with BMW provided incredible opportunities, Simon always carried a dream—to build his own automotive shop where passion, precision, and people would come first. In 2012, he immigrated to the United States to make that dream a reality. After several years working in a respected independent European specialty shop, Simon took a leap of faith and founded Torque Automotive. Starting from humble beginnings in a small warehouse off Gresham Lake Road, he poured his years of experience and dedication into creating a shop that stood for quality, integrity, and genuine care for customers and their vehicles.


As the business grew, Simon envisioned a facility that would not just service vehicles but deliver an exceptional customer experience—a place where European car owners could feel truly understood and cared for. That vision came to life with the construction of Torque’s custom-built, state-of-the-art facility on Wadford Drive. Every detail of the new shop was purposefully designed to reflect the precision of the vehicles it services, from the workshop layout to the warm, inviting customer spaces.

With this growth came a natural evolution of the brand. Torque Automotive became Torque European Car Care, a rebrand that elevated its identity to better reflect its specialized expertise in European luxury and performance vehicles. This refinement wasn’t just cosmetic—it was a statement of the company’s commitment to excellence, trust, and craftsmanship.


Today, Torque European Car Care stands as a testament to Simon’s journey—from apprentice to international workshop leader to proud business owner. Built on family values, world-class expertise, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Torque remains dedicated to providing an unparalleled automotive experience for every customer who walks through its doors.

To bring our story and vision to life, Torque partnered with local creative agency BlackBar Films to produce a short film showcasing our new state-of-the-art facility on Wadford Drive. This video captures the heart of what we stand for—our commitment to service excellence, attention to detail, and creating a premium experience for every customer who walks through our doors. From the workshop floor to the customer lounge, it’s a behind-the-scenes look at how Torque European Car Care continues to raise the standard for European vehicle service.  

To celebrate this major milestone, Torque partnered once again with BlackBar Films to capture the energy and excitement of our Grand Opening event on September 19, 2025. The Oktoberfest-themed celebration was a huge success, bringing together customers, friends, family, and the local community to mark the next chapter of Torque’s journey. From live music and festive food to a first look inside our new facility, the event perfectly reflected our passion for cars, craftsmanship, and community. With such an incredible turnout and response, Oktoberfest at Torque is set to become an annual tradition—one that celebrates not just our growth, but the people who make it possible.
