  • DOT 5: Unlike DOT 3 and DOT 4, DOT 5 is silicone-based. It has a boiling point of 500°F and is commonly employed in high-performance vehicles.
  • DOT 5.1: DOT 5.1 is similar to DOT 4 but has a higher boiling point at 509°F. It is glycol-based and is suitable for high-performance vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.
